Right on the mark

A friend said today, "stop putting yourself in the victimised heroine position", and unfortunately he was right. What has resulted in today's narrow-minded views, the ones in which I am always willing to paint myself as the faultless casualty? The sequence of today's events are a direct result of one's own doing and not the repercussions of others, especially those who exercise power over us' "villainous" trauma. What happened to the work ethic, the courage to admit and most noticibly, the dignity with which one should always carry oneself?
